Scotland are often credited with having some of the most passionate fans in international football… but that doesn’t seem to be the case in tonight’s friendly with Denmark at Hampden Park.
And the fans really aren’t happy about it… not one bit.
Gordon Strachan has picked an experimental side for the match, with Celtic duo Kieran Tierney and Leigh Griffiths both getting the nod.
Hibernian midfielder John McGinn has also started alongside Scott Brown in midfield.
But despite the changes and the amount of young talent on show, fans have taken to Twitter to slaughter the atmosphere at the national stadium.
Some stuck the boot in for state of the pitch, despite it having been relaid just last month for the League Cup final between Hibs and Ross County.
Other supporters were unhappy that the SFA chose Hampden as tonight’s venue instead of Pittodrie, Tynecastle or Easter Road:
Judging by the Hampden attendance…. Ross County have mair fans than Scotland ?

Maybe if Scotland didn't charge a silly amount of money for games they would get a decent attendance

Could hear a pin drop at Hampden

It's not even half full, so why is this game being played at Hampden? Should have been taken on the road to Easter Road or Pittodrie.

Nonsense having that Scotland game at Hampden the ground is empty

Been to after parties with bigger attendances than Hampden tonight
— Grant Forrest (@GrantForrest7) March 29, 2016
Instead of whining about no atmosphere watching a meaningless friendly on TV, you could've gone to Hampden and created atmosphere yourself.

Nothing like International friendlies live on tv from a half empty Hampden in the rain… ??
— Andrew Gray (@R10_Gray) March 29, 2016
Christ I thought Wembley was empty!!! Hampden park is even worse!!!

Hampden pitch was only relayed a month ago and already it looks like it needs another makeover.

An eerie atmosphere inside half-empty Hampden Park, where Scotland have started well pic.twitter.com/1vRhBQY2mz

More folk in the asda across the road than there is at Hampden tonight. Pointless putting a game on tonight.
That atmosphere at Hampden is horrendous

Hampden pitch looks garbage
— StevieK (@StevoKinnevo) March 29, 2016
Are Scotland actually playing tonight?
Looking at Hampden, you wouldn't think so.

Nice to see the Tartan Army at Hampden doing their best Parkheed impression.

Better atmosphere at a funeral than at Hampden #shocking

The pitch at Hampden was just relaid before the league cup final and already it looks piss poor.
Thankfully it’s not all doom and gloom in Glasgow this evening, as Denmark defender Daniel Agger gift-wrapped Scotland the opener after just eight minutes.
The ex-Liverpool defender’s calamitous defending allowed Matt Ritchie to pounce and give the home side the advantage.
The score is currently 1-0 at half-time.
