Jack Butland looks set to miss the next three months after fracturing his ankle in England’s win over Germany last night.
The Stoke goalkeeper started the Berlin friendly in the absence of regular goalkeeper Joe Hart.
But he lasted just 45 minutes before picking up an injury and having to be replaced by Southampton goalie Fraser Forster.
Butland shared this tweet after finding out he fractured his ankle and reports have since confirmed he’ll miss the next three months:
Today's scan revealed I've fractured my ankle, absolutely devasted! I'll be doing everything I can to get back fit as soon as I can! ????

It’s sure to be a big miss for both club and country given his outstanding form in the English Premier League this season.
Alongside Hart and Forster, he’s been one of the best English goalkeepers and looked nailed on to be on the plane to France in the summer.
But it’s a bigger setback for Stoke, as they challenge for a European place between now and the end of the season.
As you can expect, Twitter is filled with messages dedicated to Butland:
