FIFA 16 players could soon be able to play against each other regardless of whether they have an XBox One or a PlayStation 4 console.
Currently there is only cross-network gaming between PS4 and PC, but soon enough the two biggest consoles in the gaming industry could be teaming up to solve a big problem.
Microsoft confirmed plans earlier this week to introduce cross-network play over a host of consoles, not just the PC.
And now Sony have followed that up by insisting they’re open to the possibility of working with Microsoft and anyone else to achieve cross-network play.
The company said, via fraghero.com: “We would be happy to have the conversation with any publishers or developers who are interested in cross platform play.”
Now, if you have a PlayStation 4 and want to play your pal at FIFA 16, him having an XBox One could soon be a problem of the past.
That will surely appeal to millions of gamers around the world, around 2.5million of which have FIFA 16 on some console.
