Kaka Pays Tribute to Retiring Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning

Kaka has taken to Twitter tonight to pay homage to Peyton Manning, who has announced his retirement from the NFL after 18 seasons.

Manning lead the Denver Broncos as they won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers back in February but the 39-year-old has now called it a day in an emotional press conference.

And while Kaka may have only been playing his football in the MLS since 2014, the Brazilian is already a big fan of America’s most popular sport, as he shared this picture of himself watching Manning’s retirement speech:

Kaka won Serie A and the Champions League in Italy with AC Milan before sealing a then-record transfer to Real Madrid in 2009.

However, the 33-year-old didn’t hit the heights expected of him at the Bernabeu and despite winning La Liga and the Copa del Rey, Kaka was sold back to Milan in 2013.

Yet, despite all of the honours on Kaka’s CV (including the World Cup which he won in 2002 with Brazil), he struggles to compete with the former Broncos QB.

Manning won two Super Bowls, five league MVP awards and is the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes.
