Perhaps news that Leo Messi is opening up his very own restaurant in Barcelona will put paid to those ridiculous rumours constantly linking him with a move away from the Catalan club.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is looking to add a Michelin Star to his rather large array of trophies by opening up an eating establishment in his adopted home city.
Situated in the city’s Calle Enric Granados district, the restaurant will open in summer and will boast a number of rather, erm, interesting features.
Designed to resemble a local town, the restaurant will feature a cinema, a barber’s shop, a church and even its very own town square. Each to their own, eh.
And according to Spanish newspaper Sport, Messi will run the restaurant alongside his brother, Rodrigo, and his friends the Iglesias brothers—Juan Carlos, Borja and Pedro—with the grand opening set to take place this summer.
