It’s almost the weekend and that can mean only one thing – football and betting is upon us.
This week sees a break in the normal football calendar across both top-flights in Scotland and England, with the return of international football ahead of this summer’s Euros in France.
Therefore, the focus of our tips this weekend will be the lower leagues, along with a surprise inclusion from Australia.
All of the games commence on Friday, so move quickly to get your bets on. We are more than confident that we will return a profit this weekend.
Bet 1 – Treble @5/1 with Ladbrokes
The main focus of my treble this week is English League 2 starting off with my tip of the week, Bristol Rovers, to score over 1.5 team goals at 10/11.
Bristol have secured three victories in their last five games, so decent chance of them continuing the good form at home. Added to this, they have managed 11 goals in five games, so really chance that they can win this one by two goals.
My next bet is high-flying Northampton town to score over 1.5 @ 5/6. Northampton should be full of confidence coming back from 2-0 down to snatch a 3-2 win over Newport last weekend.
Northampton also sit 11 points in front at the top of League Two, with one game in hand, so this victory could more or less wrap up the title. They have plenty of goals in their team, so two goals for the home side should be a sure thing.
For the final game of my treble, I am going for both teams to score in the Accrington Stanley vs Leyton Orient @ 8/11. This bet has been successful, in each of the last five home games for Accrington, and eight out of their last 10. With Orient having top scorer Jay Simpson in their team, they are always good for a goal.
Bet 2 – Double @4/1 with Ladbrokes
In one of the more obscure games this weekend, our newest tipster has gone for a home victory for Brisbane Roar against Sydney FC @20/21, in the Australian League.
Brisbane are flying high at the top end of the league table, and a victory will see them close the gap on leaders Western Sydney. Should Western Sydney fail to pick up all three points it would give Brisbane the chance to go top for at least 48 hours.
Brisbane have only lost one home league game all season; winning nine and drawing the other two. Brisbane also have the second top goal-scorer in the league on fine form at the moment, Jamie MacLaren having scored 17 goals in 20 games. Surprising pick for many, but our man is confident they will get the win on Friday.
Add Rochdale to score over 1.5 team goals at home to Southend on Friday @6/5, and we are confident this double could come up trumps.
A win keeps Rochdale’s promotion hopes alive, against a Southend team low on confidence.
Manager Micky Mellon has already came out in the media talking up Rochdale’s promotion hopes, so a victory this weekend could really cement their chances.
