Arsenal lead Hull City 1-0 at half-time in their FA Cup replay tonight, thanks to a horrendous David Meyler back pass that was dispatched by Olivier Giroud.
Hull looked comfortable and were clearly frustrating the Premier League side before Meyler’s howler, something that will surely infuriate Steve Bruce during the interval.
But Giroud will be delighted as he broke his duck of not scoring in 11 games for the Gunners and celebrated by dedicating the goal to his newborn son:

And the Arsenal supporters were quick to celebrate the fact that Meyler had gift-wrapped Giroud’s goal, with some even joking that the Irishman had replaced Mesut Ozil as their new assist king:
Lovely assist from Meyler. Gorgeous tap in. "Cradle" celebration. Love it! #HCFCvAFC #HULARS #FACup

Good to see Meyler got his cheque in the post this morning.

Just seen the Meyler mistake, of all the ways to concede and he goes and does that!

It's ok David Meyler; I learned not to pass the ball across goal when I was 6 years old too. I'd probably forget as well ?
— Ryan Burton (@RyanBurton92) March 8, 2016
Shame that we'll all forget about Joel Campbell's incisive pass straight to Meyler that led to the goal.

And one poor Hull City fan took to Twitter and revealed that he had queued for 20 minutes to get into the KC Stadium only to be greeted by Meyler’s mistake on the 41st minute:
@bbcburnsy 20 minute queue to get in and then Meyler does that! Not a good mood! #hcafc

Yes, we wouldn’t be in too good a mood either, Matt!
Arsenal will play Watford in the next round if they can get past the Tigers tonight,
