Randers Player Won’t Play For Club After Finding Out Team-Mate’s Seeing His Wife

Danish side Randers are embroiled in controversy after one of their players found out his wife was in a relationship with one of his team-mates.

Jonas Borring continues to live with his wife Kira despite her wish to be separated from her husband.

But he’s now refusing to play for the club after discovering she’s in a relationship with his team-mate and captain Christian Keller.

This isn’t just a rumour – Borring has spoken out on the matter to Danish tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet after being sent on indefinite compassionate leave by Randers.

He said, via worldsoccer.com: “Kira decided in late 2015 that she would not be with me anymore and we are separating.

“We live, however, still under the same roof and have two children to take into account here. We are basically still husband and wife.

“That she chooses to do this impacts us greatly. And it makes the situation untenable at Randers FC between Keller and me.

“Keller has broken rule number one in the dressing room. He has completely stabbed me in the back.”

Amazingly, Keller is still ready and available to play for the club despite Borring being sent away by the club.

Randers sporting manager Ole Nielsen said: “We have great sympathy for his situation, and that he now needs some peace and quiet. We hope, therefore, that people will respect in the near future”

It remains to be seen whether or not Randers can sort the situation without letting either Borring or Keller leave the club.

Both players started their most recent league game against Esbjerg, but it doesn’t look like Borring will be involved in their next clash with Brondby on Sunday.
