Rosenborg Players Attempt the Perfect Volley From the Top of a 240 Foot Tall Skyscraper

What’s the best volley you’ve ever seen?

Van Basten’s at Euro 88? Zidane’s at Hampden in 2001?

Well, forget all of that rubbish, because it turns out that the best volley of all-time has actually been scored by the entire Rosenborg BK team.

The Norwegian champions were fed up of winning title after title in their homeland, so they decided to branch out and attempt a very different type of footballing challenge.

volley

Hotel chain Scandic have a building overlooking Rosenborg’s¬†Lerkendal Stadion, and they invited the players to come to the top of the skyscraper, and fire some VERY long-range passes at some of their team-mates on the pitch.

The idea is that one of the players on the pitch would connect with one of the balls first-time, and score the greatest volley in the history of football.

However, as you can probably imagine, spraying passes from a 74-meter high building can be quite tricky, and it takes more than one attempt.

We won’t ruin it, but as you can see from the clip above, the lads give it a good go.
