Roy Keane On Zlatan: I’d Like to Think I’m Better Looking Than Him

Roy Keane appears to have started the mind games ahead of Euro 2016 – by claiming he is better looking than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Keane is busy preparing his team for friendlies against Switzerland and Slovakia in the coming week, ahead of this summer’s Euros in France – where they will meet Zlatan’s Sweden.

The 34-year-old PSG could derail Ireland’s chances at the Championships when Keane and Martin O’Neill’s charges meet the Swedes at the Stade de France on June 13 in their tournament opener.

And when asked about the prospect of coming up against one of the most feared strikers in world football, Keane smiled, and seemed to suggest that he’d have at least one up on Zlatan come June.

Speaking via The Irish Independent, Keane said: “I’d like to think I’m better looking than him! He looks like a good player you would be happy to play with.

“He’s really, really good. I’ve seen him recently live, done a few Champions League games for television and there’s a lot of speculation that he might be going to England.

“He looks a bit of a character. One you’d want to be in the trenches with. He scores goals as well, a big lad and a big character. Again, he’s not shy.

“Pretty confident. One to watch from our point of view; he’s a big player for Sweden and we’d have to keep an eye on him.”

Ironically, Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move to Keane’s former club Manchester United in the summer, when his contract in Paris runs out.

Zlatan and Keane in the same team – that’s something we would have definitely paid to see.
