Mike Tomlin Destroys DeAngelo Williams Over His Peyton Manning Criticisms

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has had enough of his running back DeAngelo Williams, who has been spending his time ripping Peyton Manning on Twitter.

Manning officially retired from the NFL this week and was inundated with well wishes and special thanks from all across the league.

One player who didn’t wish Manning well, however, was Williams, who has been criticising the former Denver Broncos quarterback’s form last season.

Such has been the criticism from Williams, that Tomlin has now intervened via his own official Twitter account:

Williams had Tweeted that despite all the praise that was landing at Manning’s door following his retirement speech, the 39-year-old didn’t have a good season last year.

Some would argue that winning a Super Bowl in your last year isn’t exactly the worst way to go out…

Williams was hugely impressive for the Steelers last year as he stepped in for the injured Le’Veon Bell and carried for 367 yards.

But blasting Manning on Twitter will surely damage the running back’s image…
