Video: Thierry Henry Surprises Arsenal-Supporting Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi

If you’re an Arsenal fan, simply seeing Thierry Henry in the flesh is probably enough to make you cry.

That’s why Miami Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi looked shellshocked to be meeting the Gunners legend while on a visit to London this week.

The RB is just off the back of a rookie season with the Dolphins in which he rushed for 187 yards on 49 attempts for one touchdown.

And if he can continue to impress in Miami, we could soon be hearing a lot more about him in the UK given he was born in London.

Ajayi moved to America when he was seven, but obviously hasn’t forgotten his roots – continuing to support Arsenal as he’s moved his way through the ranks to become an NFL player.

He visited the Sky studios yesterday to talk NFL and his love for football and, as well as meeting Jim White, he got the honour of a surprise visit from Henry.

Ajayi is actually talking on camera when the Frenchman pops his head through a door in the background.

The Dolphin can barely get the words out of his mouth as he realises who it is:

Ajayi and Henry got the chance to chat, with the now retired footballer telling what position he’d have played in American football:

What was Ajayi’s take on it all once he gained his composure? He puts his passion for sports down to watching Henry during his glory days as an Arsenal player:

That is what meeting your hero is all about.
