Was This Jamie Heaslip Try For Ireland the Best in Six Nations History?

Who said football was the beautiful game? That’s certainly not the case if this Ireland try against Italy from earlier today is anything to go by.

Joe Schmidt’s men romped to a 58-15 win over Italy at the Aviva Stadium for a victory which keeps their Six Nations bid rolling on strong.

It was a hugely impressive performance from the Irish, as they broke their own tournament record with nine tries on the day.

But the pick of the bunch came as Jamie Heaslip went over the line on the stroke of half-time.

It started at the opposite end of the field with a host of off-loads allowing Ireland to sweep their way up and across the pitch before the number eight went across to make the score 25-3.

The big question to answer now is whether or not this is the best try in Six Nations history?
