Adidas Golf have revealed new clothing range which is inspired by the 2016 Ryder Cup.
The golf merchandise giants released the kit at the same time they announced an extension to their official licensee agreement until 2018 to include the upcoming competition as well as the 2018 edition at Le Golf National, Paris.
As part of the new comprehensive range, adidas will offer men’s, women’s and children’s golf apparel, outerwear, waterproofs and headwear, boasting climacool® and GORE-TEX® technologies.
Jason Howarth, category director of TaylorMade-adidas Golf EMEA, insisted adidas are excited to continue their partnership, saying: “We are incredibly excited to continue our partnership with the world’s biggest golf event – The Ryder Cup. adidas Golf apparel is one of the most trusted brands by tour professionals and we are proud to be a licensee and associated with such a prestigious event.”
European Ryder Cup director Richard Hills was similarly pleased with the continued partnership ahead of a big competition later this year.
He said: “We are delighted that adidas Golf have extended their Official Licensee agreement with Ryder Cup Europe. They were a valuable part of our Official Merchandise Programme in 2012 and 2014, and we are confident their success will continue over the next three years.”
Now the golf season is underway with the Masters kicking off two weeks ago, the Ryder Cup is in the back of the mind of everyone.
And European fans will be delighted to finally see some new gear ahead of the real thing coming closer to the tournament in September.
