Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Liverpool youngster Cameron Brannagan, according to reports in Spain.
The La Liga giants have allegedly earmarked the 19-year-old as a potential star of the future, after catching the eye of Barca coaches whilst playing against their own La Masia products for the Reds in the UEFA Youth League recently.
Spanish newspaper Sport, via The Mirror, are claiming that Barcelona sent a delegation of scouts to watch Brannagan more closely during an under-21 match between Liverpool and Leicester, and were impressed with what they saw.
Intriguingly, this isn’t the first time the attacking midfielder has been linked with a shock move to the Nou Camp, with reports first surfacing of the possible transfer as far back as 2014.
Said to be a ball-playing, strong midfielder, Brannagan made his senior debut for Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers, during a Europa League match against Bordeaux last September.
