Philadelphia Eagles Select Carson Wentz with No. 2 Pick

The Eagles have made the first two picks of the 2016 NFL Draft back to back Quarterbacks with their selection of North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz.

The prevailing theory in the lead up to the draft was that Wentz would go either one or two alongside Jared Goff.

Wentz becomes the highest drafted Division I-AA player in history and only the fifth D1-AA QB taken in the first round in history.

There are some questions about Wentz, as he only made 612 pass attempts in his college career, but was a 2 time AA National Champion in college, winning the Most Outstanding Player award in both of those games.

He also has a lingering injury question, as he had to sit the latter half of his final season with a broken wrist.

Either way, Philadelphia believes they have their franchise QB.
