Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is With the Weekend’s Best Bets

It’s been a long hard week so thankfully the weekend has some cracking games of football in store for us.

Chelsea v Man City and The Old Firm, to name just a couple.

And what better way to enjoy it with a little bit of cash from the bookies.

First up for me this week is Rotherham at home to Nottingham Forest.

The Millers have been on a superb run which has seen them unbeaten in their last eight outings. They all but secured their Championship status for next season with a thumping 4-0 at MK Dons last time out and at 7/5.

They look good value to extend that run this weekend. Only goal difference separates the two sides in the table and with home advantage and form, you have to fancy Neil Warnock’s men to push further up the table.

League Two leaders Northampton travel to Exeter City looking to wrap up the title after they confirmed their promotion last time out against Bristol Rovers.

The Cobblers have been on a stunning run of form in the second-half of the season which has seen them earn a place in League One next season. The leaders hold a 12-point advantage over Oxford City with 5 games remaining and can virtually have the title wrapped up with victory over an Exeter City side who still have hopes of making the play-offs at 17/10.

Moving north and Dumbarton can edge even closer to securing their Scottish Championship place for another season with victory over a Raith Rovers side, who have already secured their place in the Premiership play-offs.

The Sons have a 5 point lead over Livingston, with a game in hand, and they can extend that gap with victory at home. Stevie Aitken’s men recorded a big 4-2 midweek win over Queen of the South and can make it six points in a week. Dumbarton are available at a big 9/4 price.

Last up this weekend is Sunday’s big Old Firm clash at Hampden.

Rangers will offer a completely different edge to the side that was easily disposed of in the pairs last Hampden showdown and after wrapping up the Championship title and the Petrofac Cup, this game is sure to be interesting.

A BTTS and win bet with Celtic pays out at 9/4 and looks a good value bet for the semi-final showdown. The Premiership leaders are big favourites with the bookies and the fans will expect nothing less than a win.

This week’s 4-fold pays out a big 72.52/1 with Ladbrokes and a £5 bet will earn you £367.58.

As always, the best of luck and give us a follow @talkingbets.
