Rams Trade for No. 1 Overall Pick from Titans

The rumor mill actually turned out to have a grain of truth in it.

Rumors had been swirling for months that the Tennessee Titans had been looking to trade out of the first overall pick in the draft, and that they had plenty of interest.

Thursday saw those rumors come true, as the Los Angeles Rams traded up to the top spot.

The Rams also acquired the 113th and 177th pick from the Titans, their 4th and 6th round picks respectively.

The Titans received the Rams’ first round pick, No. 15, 43 and 45 in the second round, and the 76th pick in the third round. The Titans now also have the Rams’ picks in first and third rounds in 2017.

Conflicting reports have come out since the move was made that the Rams are targeting either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff to fill in their uncertainty at the quarterback position. The Titans are likely to go after whichever offensive lineman is still on the board at 15, with Michigan State’s Jack Conklin being the highest rated player most likely to still be on the board.
