Real Madrid Fans Jeer Danilo as He Replaces Dani Carvajal v Eibar

Real Madrid fans jeered Danilo as he replaced Dani Carvajal during his side’s 4-0 win over Eibar this afternoon.

The Brazilian defender started the 2-0 midweek defeat to Wolfsburg in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie and found himself on the bench today after turning in a disappointing performance.

Instead, Carvajal lined up at right back – much to the delight of Madrid fans who obviously weren’t happy with Danilo in Wednesday’s loss.

He played just over an hour of the La Liga victory before Zinedine Zidane decided to replace him – and supporters were quick to share their thoughts on Danilo as a replacement, sending loud jeers his way as the players swapped places on the touchline:

Real’s 4-0 victory was the perfect response to the shock loss at the hands of Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in the first leg.

Zidane’s men have the opportunity to turn that tie on its head in the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday and seeing Cristiano Ronaldo get on the scoresheet alongside James Rodriguez will have been welcome for every hopeful Madrid fan.
