Liverpool fans expected much from Suso – but the Spanish midfielder failed to really deliver before being sold by the club.
He joined Liverpool in 2010 as a talented 17-year-old earmarked for the first team.
But he made just 18 appearances for the club, failing to impress consistently and was then allowed to leave Anfield for AC Milan at the end of his contract last year.
Yet maybe the English giants got rid of him too quickly?
Suso is now on loan with Genoa until the end of the Serie A season and is contributing heavily as they go for a top half finish.
He’s scored four goals and made one assist in 15 appearances – with his latest goals showing a glimpse of just how good he can be.
Genoa took on Frosinone at the weekend and Suso was the man of the match as he scored a stunning hat-trick to give his side a 4-0 victory.
This is one all Liverpool fans will be interested to see:
That is one lethal left foot!
This probably isn’t enough for Liverpool fans to regret letting Suso go – they’ve got plenty of attacking midfield talent in Jurgen Klopp’s existing squad.
But it does offer an insight into what could have been had the Spaniard continued working away at the club.
