Video: Filipe Luís ‘Knew’ Ateltico Madrid Would Get a Man Sent Off at Barcelona

Atletico Madrid full-back Filipe Luís seemed to suggest that he knew his side would have a man sent off against Barcelona tonight.

The Champions League quarter-final first-leg between the two sides ended in a 2-1 victory for Barca, with Luis Suarez finding the back of the net twice to cancel out Fernando Torres’s opener.

Torres rolled back the years to score his 11th goal in 15 matches against Barcelona, and looked to have given his team a golden away goal in their quest to reach the last-four of the competition.

But Torres was sent off on the half hour mark after collecting two yellow cards within the space of just six minutes, the second of which was a particularly controversial decision by the referee.

Torres seemed to trip as he tackled and fell into Sergio Busquets, but the World Cup winner was still shown a second yellow and it felt as thought the match – and potentially the tie – could hinge on it.

And Luis, as you can see from the clip above, absolutely slammed the decision.
