Celtic fans have started a petition to get Parkhead included as a venue in FIFA 17.
EA Sports are busy preparing the new game ahead of its usual September release and with it comes new features, updates on player stats and much, much more.
One place where supporters want to see more is in the FIFA 17 stadia – not that there’s any huge problem with what’s already on offer in FIFA 16.
Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Anfield, Wembley, Camp Nou, Santiago Bernabeu, San Siro and Parc des Princes are all included. Even Seattle’s CenturyLink Field is offered on this season’s game.
But what about Celtic Park? Or Ibrox for that matter? Rangers weren’t in this year’s game so the chances of their stadium making it were slim. But we’re still talking about two of football’s most iconic venues.
Hoops fans obviously haven’t been happy that Parkhead has never made the cut – and they’ve now taken it upon themselves to petition for it to be added in FIFA 17.
It was created on petitionbuzz.com, with the author writing:
“Celtic Park is one of Europe’s finest place and deserves its place on Fifa 17 with other Scottish stadiums such as Hampden and Ibrox too. (sic)”
As you can see, a 5,000 signature target was set, but that’s already been exceeded just days after it was created.
And now you have to wonder how much support it could get before being directed in the way of EA Sports and their FIFA 17 team.
Hoops fans – should Celtic Park be added?
Scottish football fans – what other grounds deserve to make it?
