Celtic Striker Carlton Cole Paraded as West Ham Legend at Upton Park

West Ham said goodbye to their iconic Boleyn Ground tonight with an awesome parade of some of their greatest-ever players – and Carlton Cole managed to get in on the act.

The Hammers are leaving the stadium they have played at since 1904 to move to the Olympic Stadium and gave fans the perfect send-off by defeating Manchester United 3-2.

And afterwards, the likes of Paolo Di Canio, Teddy Sheringham and Trevor Brooking took to the field to salute supporters, but Cole was interviewed in the stand alongside Anton Ferdinand and Marlon Harewood.

Fans sang his name and he spoke of his closeness to the West Ham support, but it’s probably not likely to go down too well with Celtic fans.

Cole is currently a Celtic player, but has barely featured this season, and has recently been granted a leave of absence by the Glasgow club to deal with personal issues.

His appearance caught the eye of several Hoops followers on social media:

Does he deserve the stick?
