Celtic Fans Say Goodbye to Emilio Izaguirre With Giant Banner at Parkhead

Today is likely to be Emilio Izaguirre‘s last game at Celtic Park and fans said goodbye with an impressive display.

The Honduran left-back is set to say goodbye to the Hoops faithful after six trophy-laden years in Glasgow, with the 30-year-old thought to be looking for first-team football.

Izaguirre had been first choice in his position at the club pretty much since he arrived, but lost his place in the starting XI not long after the start of this season, following the emergence of youth academy prospect Kieran Tierney.

Izaguirre has been unable to shift the impressive teenager, who scored in today’s match, and so will head for pastures new.

As we told you last week, the man himself had been feeling emotional about departing, and todaythe Hoops support expressed their own emotions:

Nice touch. We’re sure Izzy will appreciate it.

But is he leaving the club too soon? Should he stay and fight for his place?
