Cesc Fabregas Rates Mathieu Flamini as the Best Midfielder He’s Ever Played With

Cesc Fabregas has played with some of the greatest midfielders possibly of all-time, but the Chelsea playmaker rates Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini as the best he’s ever played alongside.

The World Cup winner has been lucky enough to play with stars at Arsenal, Chelsea and, of course, Barcelona, and  can boast an incredible list of team-mates, both past and present.

But according to Fabregas, the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets can’t compare to Frenchman Flamini.

Fabregas has featured alongside Xavi and Iniesta for both club and country, but spent four seasons with Flamini at Emirates Stadium before the Frenchman moved to Milan in 2008.

And whatever wisdom he imparted on Fabregas back then seems to have stuck:

As you can see, not only Flamini, but Gilberto Silva is also singled out for praise. They’re both undoubtedly good players, perhaps even great players in their day. But better than Xavi and Iniesta?

Is it just us, or is Cesc absolutely off his nut?
