Arsenal‘s new signing Granit Xhaka has only been at the club for a matter of days but he’s already gong around the houses with his shirt number.
The Swiss international is currently preparing for the European Championships in France this summer, but has taken time out to give the kit man at the Emirates a headache.
After moving to north London from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach last week for a fee of around £35 million, Xhaka was set to wear the number 16 shirt, following Aaron Ramsey’s decision to vacate that and wear the number eight.
But now it appears Xhaka has had a change of heart, opting instead to wear the number 29 jersey instead.

Xhaka will be joining famous Arsenal legends when he pulls on the 29 shirt for the first time, with the likes of Jermaine Pennant, Marouane Chamakh, Sebastian Larsson and Moritz Volzall previous owners.
Looking at that list, lets just hope it’s not cursed!
