Inverness Caley Thistle have chosen Richie Foran to be the club’s new manager but it doesn’t seem like they’re too bothered about telling anyone.
The 2015 Scottish Cup winners parted company with John Hughes earlier this month, and have been looking for a suitable candidate to replace him ever since.
Foran, now 35, was part of Hughes’ squad but immediately became favourite to take over, and the appointment was made official earlier today.
But the way the club broke the news seemed a little bit shifty, almost as though they were trying to hide the fact that they had just hired a new manager – who is taking on his first managerial position.
No photocalls; no press conference; no interviews – just a fairly ambiguous tweet that mentions Foran has a new role. The tweet doesn’t even mention the word ‘manager’:

It seems we weren’t the only ones to find the handling of the situation slightly bizarre:
ICT appoint new boss on quietest week of year. Open goal for huge TV, radio and paper coverage. Instead, no press until "later in June"…

Were Inverness trying to hide that they've appointed a new manager with this tweet? https://t.co/Yrf63FzMcH

Now that we know (just) that Foran is in charge at Inverness, how do you think he’ll get on?
