The pair have been hugely impressive all season for Mark Warburton’s men as they won the Scottish Championship title, Petrofac Cup and helped their team to the Scottish Cup Final later this month.
But they’d been ignored by Strachan up until now – with the Scotland boss deciding not to pick any Rangers players in his recent squads.
Wallace returns after a two-year absence from the squad, while McKay gets his first ever call-up for the senior team after representing his country up until the Under-21s.
They’ll both be involved in the selection for upcoming friendlies with Italy and France.
And Rangers fans are delighted they’ve finally been recognised:
Wallace and McKay have arguably been Rangers’ best performers this season and will be expected to be just as important in the Scottish Premiership next term.
But there’s no place for team-mate Jason Holt, who is coming off the back of his best first team campaign just a year after being released by Hearts.
Rangers fans – are you delighted Wallace and McKay are in? What about Holt?
