The Ibrox club had a disappointing result against Hibs in the Scottish Cup Final last month, but followed that up with the boost of bagging Barton on a two-year contract.
Clint Hill has now also joined Rangers as another former QPR player.
But the Croatian international was next on Mark Warburton’s radar and he’s now been confirmed by the Ibrox club.
He might be 31, but Kranjcar has plenty of quality and showed that during spells with Portsmouth, Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers in England.
His signing is another coup for the Scottish giants as they prepare for life in the Premiership this season.
Here, we give you nine reasons why Kranjcar at Rangers will be amazing:
He’s a Quality Player

We’ll get on to what makes Kranjcar great in more detail, but he’s just a brilliant all-round player. You don’t play for the best teams in Croatia, plus the sides he’s represented in England, and have 81 international caps if you’re rubbish. Kranjcar can operate across any midfield position and would provide some real quality in the attacking third for Rangers.
He’s Commanded Over £10million in Transfer Fees.. but Rangers Would Get Him For Free
Moves to Hajduk Split, Portsmouth, Tottenham and Dynamo Kiev have totalled over £10million in transfer fees – there aren’t many players in Scotland who can boast worth like that in their career. But Rangers wouldn’t have to spend a penny to bring him back to the UK after a short spell with New York Cosmos.

Managers Love Him
His former Portsmouth and QPR boss Harry Redknapp spoke about him last week, per dailyrecord.co.uk, saying: “I’m not surprised, I’d take Niko all day long. He’s a fantastic player. Really technically gifted and a terrific footballer. I had a good relationship with Niko and he played for me quite a few times. The talent is there without question and the best part is that he’s a great lad as well to go with his ability. The key to getting the very best out of him is to keep him fit. All in all, he is a top-class player and would represent quite a signing for Rangers.”
As Do the Fans
His Girlfriend Will Be Welcome in Glasgow
Zrinka Cvitešić is a huge Croatian actress and would be a welcome addition to the Glasgow WAG scene.
