Christian Eriksen Scores First Career Hat-Trick in 10 Minutes For Denmark

Christian Eriksen scored a 10-minute hat-trick for Denmark against Bulgaria this morning.

The Tottenham playmaker is in Japan playing for his country in the Kirin Cup.

And he made sure their second game of the competition went better than the penalty shootout defeat to Bosnia at the weekend.

Morten Rasmussen got the scoring underway in the 39th minute before Eriksen took over from the 72nd minute.

His first goal came after some poor goalkeeping from Bulgarian stopper Bozhidar Mitrev:

Just two minutes later, Eriksen got his second and Denmark’s third of the game after pouncing on a loose ball in midfield before firing home:

And his hat-trick goal came in the 82nd minute when Eriksen broke beyond the Bulgarian defence to slot past Mitrev:

Eriksen doesn’t look like he’s suffering from any hangover from the Premier League season.

Tottenham took the title race to the final few games of the campaign, but no wins in their last four matches handed the league title to Leicester and saw them surrender second spot in the table to rivals Arsenal.
