Fans Ask After Spain Win: Is Andres Iniesta the Greatest Midfielder of All-Time?

Another Spain victory, another Andres Iniesta super show.

The Barcelona midfielder was majestic as his country beat Czech Republic in their opening match of Euro 2016 on Monday.

But he took it to another level tonight – orchestrating everything in the Spanish midfield as they outclassed Turkey in a 3-0 victory.

Alvaro Morata will no doubt take some headlines for his two goals, while Nolito was impressive with his goal and assist for the Juventus striker.

It’s Iniesta’s night though, the midfielder outstanding with everything he did in the game.

Fans were raving about him during and after Monday’s win over Czech Republic, defending the little magician after some questioned if he’s still got it before the tournament kicked off.

And tonight has only reminded people further that Iniesta is still the best midfield player in the world.

The next big question – is he the best midfield player of all-time? He’s among some illustrious company, like Andrea Pirlo, Zinedine Zidane, Xavi, Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes and countless others.

But that’s what some are asking tonight on Twitter:

We also asked the question on Twitter – and Iniesta is leading the poll at the moment:

What’s your view – where does Iniesta rank among the all-time greats?
