The Dutchman forged his reputation in English football with Southampton, spending two years at St Mary’s and helping Saints fans forget all about Mauricio Pochettino.
While Poch left them for the lure of football at the top end of the Premier League with Tottenham, Koeman has left for a team which finished below them during both of his seasons at Southampton.
