In fact, he could start earning comparisons to Lionel Messi if he continues playing like this in England.
We’re talking about Edvard Sandvik Tagseth of course, who, if you’re unaware, is set to join Liverpool next season – two years after penning a pre-contract with the club at the age of 14.
Details are limited on Tagseth, but there’s enough out there to know that the Anfield giants have signed a hugely talented young player.
He’s just 15 at the moment and plays for Neset FK in his homeland, but was signed by Liverpool last year on a pre-contract agreement.
That agreement means he’ll head over to England in 2017 when he turns 16 and can start his career as part of the club’s famed youth academy.
But what kind of player are Liverpool getting? Reports already say that the club beat off competition from Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton and Ajax to sign Tagseth, but how good is he?
Well, this video – published on Facebook by empireofthekop.com – suggests Liverpool are getting a player who looks more like Messi than Ødegaard:
Seeing more of him here does nothing but strengthen the belief that he’s a star of the future:

But that’s not even the best of it – Norwegian TV were prepared to film a documentary about Tagseth and his life before he signed his big deal with Liverpool at the age of 14. You can watch it here.
In the film it shows how his family survived a fire in the barn he learned to play football in before rebuilding their home – and training pitch – in the future.
If Tagseth can go on to realise his potential at Liverpool then you can expect him to garner more attention than Ødegaard, who is quickly being forgotten about at Real Madrid.
