
Jamie Vardy has been named on the bench for England‘s Group B opener against Russia tonight.
The Leicester City striker was in with a chance of starting following a strong season with the English Premier League champions.
He’s also impressed in the eight games he’s played for England so far, scoring three goals along the way.
But Vardy will start tonight’s game on the bench, with Harry Kane preferred through the middle as Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling offer support out wide.
