Jamie Vardy’s Wife Tells How She Was Caught Up in ‘Horrific’ Scenes in Marseille

Jamie Vardy‘s wife has told how she was caught up in the ‘horrific’ scenes surrounding England‘s 1-1 draw with Russia in Marseille.

The game has been overshadowed by continuous fighting between both sets of supporters, French groups and police over the last three days.

It boiled over into the stadium tonight as Russia fans were seen charging at the English inside Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome before some vicious fighting broke out.

Vardy’s new wife Rebekah was inside the ground to watch her husband and his Three Lions team-mates and looked delighted to be there before the game despite the violent scenes outside:

But she obviously wasn’t as happy after the game as she summed up the experience in a series of tweets.

Mrs Vardy describes it as one of the worst away games she’s ever experienced, claiming to have been teargassed before being caged like an animal.

And she insists that all happened before the game even kicked off:

Journalist, Good Morning Britain presenter and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan picked up on her tweets and responded that she was making some bold claims.

But Vardy’s wife went on to describe more:

It’s just the latest shocking story involving fans after just two days of football at Euro 2016.

And to make matters worse for Rebekah, her husband Jamie didn’t even make it off the bench.
