Stefan Johansen Reminds Celtic Fans What He Can Do With Norway Assist

Stefan Johansen produced a great assist for Norway against Belgium tonight.

And it will be welcome viewing for Celtic fans following a disappointing season for the attacking midfielder.

Johansen endured a very difficult campaign at Parkhead just a year after being crowned PFA Scotland Player of the Year and scooping his club’s award.

That strong form even led to reports linking him with a big money move to any one of a number of interested Bundesliga clubs.

But now it appears many Celtic supporters would be happy to see him leave Glasgow this summer after a very poor season which ended with the club only winning the Premiership title.

It’s been reported that Johansen still has a future under new manager Brendan Rodgers.

And if he’s to prove his doubters wrong and recover his best form then the Norwegian will have to produce moments of quality like this more consistently.

Robbing Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan in midfield, Johansen burst forward to play a great reverse ball to Joshua King and the Bournemouth striker finished expertly to get his country level at 1-1 in their friendly tonight:

It’s not the best assist of Johansen’s career, but it’s worth noting given his lack of form recently and the quality of opposition.

Belgium were leading the game 1-0 and the equaliser came against the run of play.

Celtic fans – would you keep Johansen at the club?
