Liverpool captains past and present have expressed their thanks and gratitude to the club’s physio Chris Morgan, after it was announced he’d leave the club.
The Reds announced officially on Friday that Morgan would depart Anfield during the close season, following 10 years of service at the Merseyside club.
And it appears Morgan made quite an impression on some of the first team’s stars, with both Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson taking to social media to salute him for the part he played in guiding them back to full fitness during injury setbacks.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp is bringing in two members of staff from Bayern Munich, fitness coach Andreas Kornmayer and nutritionist Mona Nemmer, and further appointments are expected.
Morgan is not thought to have another job lined-up, but is expected to pursue another role within football.
It looks like manager Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool surgery go a lot deeper than just the first-team squad!
