Ozan Tufan better hope Turkey can go on to qualify for the knockout stages of Euro 2016 following his part in their opening defeat to Croatia.

The Fenerbahce midfielder played the full 90 minutes of the 1-0 loss and was unable to have a positive impact on the final result.

But he definitely had a negative impact, appearing to fix his hair rather than press Luka Modric for his winning goal.

As you’ll see from the video below, Tufan is the closest man to Modric before he connects with the volley which beat goalkeeper Volkan Babacan:

We can’t read Turkish, but we’re pretty sure the reaction to that tweet won’t be nice for Tufan to read.

Modric scored the goal just before half-time and Croatia did enough during the rest of the game to ensure it turned out to be the winning goal.

And that’s the perfect start for the Croats, who will be confident they can emerge from the group and challenge for the top honour in the knockout stages.
