A picture emerged from the latest training session at the England camp in Chantilly which appeared to show assistant manager Ray Lewington holding a proposed team-sheet for their Euro 2016 opener on Saturday.
The bold line-up featured both Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy starting up front together, while captain Wayne Rooney dropped back into midfield like he has done in the past season at Manchester United.
Welsh boss Coleman took the opportunity in training to make fun of the apparent leak – by deliberately leaking one of his own.
But his team didn’t feature the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey or Joe Ledley.
Instead it appeared to show a starting XI which consisted of footballing legends such as Cafu, Moore, Beckenbauer, Best, Maradona and Pele.
Coleman grinned while holding the piece of paper up in the direction of the media camera, making a cheeky dig at his former Fulham colleague Lewington.
The off-field banter adds further fuel to the fire as Wales and England get set to face-off in the second round of group games in Lens on June 16.
