Arsenal Sign Unknown Japan Forward Takuma Asano… Twitter Isn’t Impressed

With other Premier League clubs making a splash in the transfer market, Arsenal fans are begging Arsene Wenger to sign a big-name this summer.

Unfortunately it seems the north London-based club are no closer to unveiling a superstar, as they today announced the arrival of 21-year-old Japan forward Takuma Asano.

Not quite a Karim Benzema or a Jamie Vardy then…

Needless to say, the Arsenal faithful aren’t exactly thrilled with the arrival of Asano, especially with Manchester United having sealed deals for proven players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan over the last few days.

Most supporters aimed their anger toward Wenger and his signing policy, while others struggled to contain their concerns for the season ahead.

It could be a long one for the Gunners…

It looked like being a highly-productive summer for Arsenal after the early addition of Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka – who looked impressive as his country made it to the knockout stages of Euro 2016.

However, since Jamie Vardy rebuffed the club’s advances a few weeks ago, it has been Arsenal’s rivals who have been making moves to bring in new players.
