Fans Hail ‘Miracle Worker’ Brendan Rodgers For £1.5M Efe Ambrose Deal

Celtic defender Efe Ambrose is reportedly on his way to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen for £1.5 million and Hoops supporters are hailing manager Brendan Rodgers for setting it up.

The Nigerian centre-back enjoyed a strong start to life in Glasgow, cementing himself as a regular first-team pick under Neil Lennon.

But ever since an error-strewn night against Juventus in the Champions League back in 2013, things have never been the same for Efe. He never seemed to recovered and, unfortunately for him, mistakes became a regular feature of his game, and he became a figure of fun to supporters.

Ambrose has been linked with high-profiles moves over the past few years, but according to The Scottish Sun, the deal to take Ambrose to Germany could happen during this transfer window and for a reasonably sizeable fee.

Anyone who witnessed Ambrose play last season, is completely stunned by the news, and hailing Rodgers for his work:

What do you make of the news? Was Ambrose really that bad?
