Fans Seem Pretty Underwhelmed That Marco Reus is FIFA 17’s Cover Star

Marco Reus has been chosen as FIFA 17’s cover star for the forthcoming year and it seems that fans are pretty underwhelmed about it.

The German international has had a pretty good week, after being named Borussia Dortmund captain and seeing his pal Mario Gotze return to the club from Bayern Munich.

And now he’ll follow in the footsteps of Leo Messi, Wayne Rooney and, erm, Jordan Henderson in becoming the footballer on the front cover of the world’s most popular and best selling console game after a vote via EA Sports’ website.

Reus is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in football today, but regardless of his star status, some fans out there seem slightly disappointed that he beat Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial to the prize:
