Hibs Striker Grant Holt Has a Dig at ‘New’ Rangers on Twitter

Hibs striker Grant Holt has stoked the flames between his club and Rangers by questioning when the Gers were founded.

Football fans all over Scotland have taunted Rangers over the past four years, ever since the Ibrox side went into administration and liquidation, leaving them in the fourth tier.

And despite playing in Scotland for a matter of just a few months, it appears that Holt, 35, has been reading up on Rangers’ turbulent recent times and aimed a cheeky dig at Mark Warburton’s side during a Twitter Q&A earlier today:

As you’ll probably know by now, there’s a lot of bad blood between Rangers and Hibs at the moment, following May’s controversial Scottish Cup final, which Hibs won 3-2.

With Hibs in The Championship, the only way the two sides can meet is in a cup competition but regardless of when they meet, Holt has done his part to ensure tensions remain high.
