Is Robin Van Persie Dropping Hints That He’s About to Join Leicester?

Robin van Persie could be on the verge of rejoining a team in the Premier League, but is he about to move to Leicester City? Well, it looks like he could be hinting as much on Twitter.

The Dutch striker is currently at Turkish side Fenerbahce, having left Manchester United last summer in a cut-price deal.

But he has been linked with a return to England this summer, with West Ham, Crystal Palace and even his former club Arsenal mentioned as possible suitors.

However, eagle-eyed social media users spotted that van Persie, who is usually pretty quiet on Twitter, had followed Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez over the past few days.

The 32-year-old was also effusive in his praise for the Foxes when they claimed the Premier League title back in May, calling the result an ‘incredible achievement’.

Is he just innocently following two fellow footballers, or is he preparing to familiarise himself with the pair ahead of forging a pretty formidable strike partnership?
