Roberto Mancini is reportedly one of the names in the frame to become England‘s next manager, and the suggestion of the Italian taking over has been given a mixed reaction by fans.
England supporters are still licking their wounds following the team’s embarrassing exit to Iceland at Euro 2016 last week, with manager Roy Hodgson standing down within minutes of last week’s 2-1 loss.
It seems there’s a good chance that Hodgson could be replaced by a foreign coach, with the few English candidates mentioned not really causing much excitement.
So could it really be Mancini’s job? The former Manchester City manager is currently in charge of Serie A giants Inter Milan, but according to Football Italia, he is under serious consideration by the FA.
He may have won the Premier League whilst in charge at City, but his achievements doesn’t seem to have won over everyone:
There's no way Roberto Mancini should be anywhere near the England job.

Mancini is being linked with the England Job. Don't get your hopes up, Interisti. I don't see him going anywhere. There he might need to win

Mancini as England boss? Why not tbh. They'll actually be a proper unit – but he would get into so many fights with players and coaches.
