Ryan Giggs Leads His Side to the Indian Futsal Premier League Title

Even in his retirement, Ryan Giggs is still winning things after he and his Mumbai 5 team-mates collected the first-ever Indian Futsal Premier League title.

After ending his 29-year association with Manchester United last month, Giggs decided to look out his boots one last time in order to go after one last trophy.

After an impressive start to the tournament saw Giggs nab himself a goal, he managed to steer his side all the way to the final, where they faced a Kochi side captained by former Real Madrid right-back Michel Salgado.

And following a tense 1-1 draw, Giggsy’s side were crowned champions today after the Welshman’s team managed to see off their opponents on penalties.

Brilliant stuff, eh? And I’m sure there’s plenty of footballers all over the planet who’d love to be the proud owner of the stat above.

Perhaps winning is just in Giggs’s DNA. What do you think of his achievement?
