Tennis World Hails Serena Williams as Greatest Player Ever After Wimbledon Win

Serena Williams is being hailed as the greatest tennis player ever after her historic Wimbledon final win over Angelique Kerber.

The American beat her German opponent 7-5 6-3 to take the trophy and record her 22nd Grand Slam title – equalling Steffi Graf’s open era record.

It’s Williams’ seventh Wimbledon title and her first of the year, coming after a renaissance over recent years in his career.

Kerber was impressive and that made for an entertaining match, but Williams was just too strong on her serve and upped the tempo and quality to a point where the victory was only a matter of time away.

And now the sporting world – not just fans tennis fans – is paying tribute to her, with some claiming she’s now the greatest tennis player of all time as well as one of the all-time best athletes:
