Andrew Johnston is playing out of his skin on the final day at The Open.
The Englishman – nickamed Beef – is currently seven shots off leaders Phil Mickelson and Henrik Stenson at seven under par at Royal Troon.
The 27-year-old golf ace is in the penultimate group along with Bill Haas.
Although winning the major championship on the last day seems highly unlikely now, Johnston has continued to gain massive support around the Scottish course.
With his bushy beard and ever-present smile, Beef has gained a cult following within the golfing world over the past few months with his down-to-Earth approach to the game.

The moniker Beef comes from his childhood – and fans love to shout it out when they get the chance to get close to him.
Johnston became somewhat of an internet sensation after winning his first title on the European Tour at the Spanish Open in April, after which he vowed to “get hammered” in celebration.

And Twitter users have quite simply fallen in love with him even more after his performance this weekend.
If you're not rooting for Andrew "Beef" Johnston at The Open, you don't have a soul and probably kick puppies for fun. @BeefGolf

Andrew Johnston (AKA Beef) looks like a bloke from a Guy Ritchie film not a contender for the Open Championship. https://t.co/QVNfTTxfkN
