UFC 200: Amanda Nunes Wins Bantamweight Title

Amanda Nunes became the first Brazilian women’s champion after winning the main event of UFC 200.

Nunes busted defending champion Miesha Tate’s nose early in the first round, with the fight ending up on the ground, where Nunes continued to pound on Tate’s head before locking a rear naked choke in for the only submission victory on the main card.

The fight almost didn’t happen, as Tate weighed in at the last possible second of the time frame, as she had to cut 9 pounds in less than 24 hours.

Nunes’ finish was the fastest end to a fight on the main card.
