UFC 200: Jose Aldo Wins Interim Featherweight Title

Jose Aldo went the distance with Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 to secure the interim Featherweight title via Unanimous Decision.

Aldo held fast through the fight and Edgar never rallied enough to sway the judges.

Conor McGregor, the standing Featherweight champion, was cageside during the bout, and Aldo pointed out McGregor in his post-fight interview, saying that “I have one goal, and that’s to beat this guy (McGregor). The next time I come here, I will beat him.”

As a side note, Frankie Edgar became the first fighter in UFC history to log six official hours in the octagon during the fifth and final round.
